20 Months Old:
- Weighs 25 pounds now
- What he can say: Dada, Mama, Hi, Bye, Cat, Dog, Ouch (he loves pointing to the huge scab on my knee where I fell and says Ouch), Shoe, Night, Uh Oh, Hot, Fish and I swear he said Cookie yesterday (Although he says them all randomly and only when he wants) and he understands pretty much everything we say to him and he actually follows direction very well and responds very well to the word "NO", we can't complain...he minds very good for a boy his age
- Loves to mimic animal sounds like Cows, Dogs, Pigs, & Frogs
- Can point to almost any animal and shape, we are working on numbers and letters (which he knows a few), can point to his head, tummy, nose, ears, feet
- Favorite sport is Golf. He loves to watch golf on tv. He gets so excited and claps for the golfer when their ball goes in the hole. And he has his own set of golf clubs which he loves to take with him everywhere and you almost never see him without a golf ball in his hand. Of course, this makes his daddy proud! He also loves basketball. He has a basketball goal and loves to play basketball with his dad!
- Loves to help out around the house, like helping me put clothes in the dryer and putting trash in the trash can and he will pick up his toys and put them away
- Favorite things to do: Read books, Shoot hoops, Play outside (all we have to say is "want to go outside" and he runs straight to the front door), Go for rides in his wagon, play in the play area at the Galleria (which he has mastered climbing on and off everything there), puzzles (he is really good at them), Swim (we are starting swim lessons next week), Playing video games on the computer, oh and torture Riley (which includes hugging her, giving her kisses, rolling around on top of her and sometimes hitting her with his golf clubs) Poor Riley!
- Eating: his eating habits vary from day to day, but he usually loves: Chicken Nuggets, Bananas, any type of muffins, pancakes, yogurt, cinnamon toast, french toast sticks, cereal bars, pudding, carrots (sometimes), raisins, crackers, cheese, grilled cheese and pbj sandwiches, french fries and he loves to dip things, so he really loves ketchup, ranch/spinach dip and salsa
- Sleeping: He takes one nap a day at noon and usually sleeps for about 2-3 hours. Goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 every night. This boy LOVES his sleep. All we have to say is "It's time to go night, night," and he stops whatever he's doing and runs to his bed...EVERY TIME! It is a blessing! :)
- He loves to pull up my shirt and pat my tummy (although he has no idea that his brother is inside)
- Loves to dance and he has lots of good moves! :)
- Likes to color with his crayons, markers and aqua doodle
- Loves giving out hugs and kisses to everyone
It's amazing how fast he's changing! Seems he's doing something new every day, and he makes us laugh all the time. This is definitely my favorite age!
