Ryder's first injury 7/9/08

I had to take Ryder to the doctor this morning. He managed to get his finger wedged under the arm rest that's attached to the stool I use for bathing him. When I tried to sit him down in the bath tub, it scrapped his little finger. We were treating it with neosporin and hydrogen peroxide and little spider man band-aids. :( The finger just got worse. From his knuckle to the tip of his finger was so red and swollen. When I called his doctors office this morning they said I should bring him in. Turns out the infection had spread to his cuticle, and once it's in his cuticle the infection can no longer be treated topically. So, he's on some orange flavored antibiotics for the next 10 days. Poor little guy! :( I guess this is the first of many scraps and trips to the doctor...all part of having a little boy! Especially one that's as busy as Ryder is!
